Safety connectors provide peace of mind if you are using a prong collar, martingale or harness as your primary leash attachment to your pup. The safety connector acts as a back-up in case your prong, martingale, or harness fails, attaching from your leash to your pup's main flat collar.

Our safety connectors come standard with 5/8" genuine Beta BioThaneĀ®. There are three hardware options available: silver standard, black standard, and solid brass (as an upgrade). We offer several different lengths with 8" being the minimum and standard length option.

A little heavy

The connector is beautifully made, but it's heavier than I hoped. I have a smaller dog, so I was looking for a thin, biothane connector strap with smaller clasps that wouldn't add weight onto the two collars she already wears on walks. Unfortunately, even though the clasps are smaller, I think the metal rivets maybe add to the weight of it. It ends up hanging down and pulling on her collar.
